Introduce Your Persona/Audience

The first post required for your blog is based on the in-class style lessons for steps #1-4, where you  created a distinct core statement, the persona you want to portray and your audience.
Your job is to write 3 paragraphs:

  • In the first paragraph, introduce your topic, including your “core statement” at the beginning of the paragraph.  Then, give some explanation of what you plan to write about here, what angle you will cover and what you hope readers will get/learn from your blog.  What will readers expect to see that is different from other blogs like yours?
  • In the second paragraph, introduce yourself.  Write 3 essential personality traits of your blogging “persona”. Include why you have passion for the topic, what assets make you credible and why you think there is demand for your ideas.  You should also include some details about your writing style and attitude.
  • In the third paragraph, who is your ideal reader?  Use the AUDIENCE preparation in step #4 to write a profile with 4-5 traits you expect from those who would find your ideas interesting.

  2. Over the next several weeks I will be teaching you how you can write a professional business plan. I believe that if I can teach you how to write a business plan I be able to inspire the entrepreneur within you. Because a business plan has many steps we will be covering each one, and how to setup, write, and research each step. Each step is more complex than others. My goal is so each of you will be able to proficiently write a business plan or business-level assignment without any complications.

My name is Alex Bailey. I am a college-bound student who has a passion for business. I had written a business plan in high school for a transcripted credit course with WCTC. I had taken many business classes in High School and enjoy the subject very much. Over the last few years, many people have not started many new business because of the economic crisis in America. We are losing many entrepreneurs. It is important that we are able to get them back. Entrepreneurship is all about taking risks, if you are not able to take risks. A big risk is Money. It can be scary, but if you work hard and show your niche then you will be successful.

Idealy, the audience for my is going to be people ages 20-40. I had talked with people who are interested with writing a business plan, but had never wrote one before. Based on that information I will be focusing on how to write the plan. There is certain formatting involved, and a certain style of writing you must use. Many of the people did not know how to even start writing one. Writing a business plan is a very complex style of writing so I will be focusing on how to start one as well. There is many different types of businesses out there so there may be other planning stages in your plan. We are going to be talking about the different planning stages, but each stage might differ for your company.

Welcome to my blog! My goal is to inspire your inner entrepreneur!

    1. I am a big fan of this idea, it is very true about the lack of businesses and entrepreneurs created in the past few years, which is definitely scary to think about. I would love to see many different aspects and possibilities of writing on your blog which would appeal to many readers. As I was reading, I was wondering what kinds of people you have reached out to. I feel this is important to know to see how much you truly care about your topic. I like how your first post is organized and it comes across easy to read. I cant wait to see what awaits from your blog.

    3. This is good, clear and short. What I like is that your passion comes off the page. There are a few grammatical things here, but they do not interfere with the reading. I am interested to see you outline the steps for a doing this process.

  3. Welcome to my blog; here I will give you great ideas on crafts you can do at home with your family. Together, we will be able to limit the control that technology has on our children's lives. Each week I will be posting a brand new craft that I have discovered and giving you steps on how to make it as well. What makes my blog different than any other? My blog will not only include the directions, but my own experiences while making it. It is my goal to make my blog be one of the most helpful out there on the internet.

My names MIke Winter, from a young age my grandma took care of me almost everyday after school. She was always into crafts that she found in our local paper and each day would have me make them for her. I always loved the time I spent with her and the crafts that we made together. From there, I went on to own my own business which produced craft supplies. My company had gone global and was recently bought by another company in the same industry. I have lived a blessed life and was happy to hand the company over. Recently my children began elementary school and I have found myself constantly wondering what to do. This is my main purpose for this blog, I will be able to continue working with things I love and be able to make others feel the way I did when I was young. I plan on writing formally along with a step by step guide to interest anyone who shall read my blog.

I plan on making my writing target all ages and genders who may enjoy pursuing crafts by themselves or with family or friends. My goal is to make people more appreciative of the time they spend with their family or friends and to encourage more to realize the benefits from crafts. Almost all people have a basic knowledge of crafts and this blog is to help expand on those pre-existing skills. Each craft will be personally tested by me and nothing will be reviewed better than it deserves. My extensive background in this industry will almost always guarantee success with my tips and tricks that I will be passing down to my readers.

Welcome to my blog, and I can't wait to hear how you guys feel about my upcoming craft ideas.

    1. I thought that your post was well thought out. However, I am wondering what you are currently doing now for work. Are you retired? Do you work for someone else?

The goal for your company is great. I would really bring this into future posts. It will pull the reader in and will make them feel like you care.

The structure in your blog is well organized. I was able to follow along, and didn't get confused. Keep this up! I don't see much wrong at all. However, I think that you could improve on what types of projects you are going to be working on. Give more examples. What types of projects will you be working on?

    2. Alex is right. This is well-written. Good job with that. The goal will be to write like Mike who is twice your age and a person with kids....keep that in mind as you continue writing....you will need to "be" Mike moving forward with all your posts. Good clear angle here, in that desire to limit tech for kids. I like this very much. Remember, with kids, the ideas will need to be fun and simple enough to do without lots of adult supervision. Looking forward to what is next.

  4. Well hello there! Welcome to my blog! I will be writing about the dangerous art of Mixed Martial Arts. I will talk about the fights and fighters of the UFC and Bellator organizations. I believe fighting is an elegant violence that anyone can get into. I will writing from the angle of the fan that I am. And as an upcoming fighter, I can relate to the art and emotions of a fight inside the cage.
I like to consider myself as fighting fanatic. Hailing out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I have been fighting for Roufusport (same gym as former lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis) so I am well aware of the fight game. I tend to idolize fighters like Anthony Pettis, Conor Mcgregor, and Anthony Johnson. I either buy UFC every pay per views or just go to watch the fights at Buffalo Wild Wings. My life truly is revolved around the fight game and I will be here a couple of times a week for you giving you updates, biographies, and predictions.
Who I think my audience will be are fans, fighters, and open-minded people across the world. If you like the UFC you are guaranteed to like my blogs even if you don't necessarily agree with my opinion.

  5. My freshman year I was an FFA officer and very active in our Agriculture program at my school. PETA often came up in those classes and I came to realize how they manipulate farmers and outdoorsmen to make it seem like what they are doing is horrible. PETA chooses their words well to make things seem worse than they are. They believe everyone should be vegetarian and no animals should be killed at all. As an outdoorsman and someone who is very active in agriculture, If animals do not die, if we do not hunt for food the animal population will soon become overpopulated and there will not be enough room for all animals to be comfortable. PETA claims all animals people own die of animal cruelty, that hunting and killing animals for food is inhuman and cruel, While they are killing millions of stray animals (PETA’s shell game). I believe PETA over exaggerates and lies about the way animals are treated in order to get people on their side and donate to their organization.
